Meeting Denise Barnes was a happy accident for me. I’d come to Lexington to find a house and only had three days to do it before I had to be back in California. After a day and a half, I had become pretty discouraged and didn’t feel very optimistic as I arrived at my next appointment. The realtor I was to meet had a last minute conflict and had asked her friend to take over for her. I don’t know how it might have turned out had this substitution not taken place, but it couldn’t have turned out better as far as I was concerned.

Almost immediately I felt that Denise not only had the knowledge of her field, but also the personal skills to listen and understand what I might like in a home. Denise showed me several types of housing, answering all my questions about zoning, investment potential, growth factors, etc. On my last day before I had to return to California, Denise showed me a house I loved from the minute I saw it. To this day it has remained a house I love and Denise has remained a good friend.

I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful Denise was as our realtor. She was very organized and methodical about the properties she was going to show us and we were able to find the property that fit our requirements. Our experience with Denise was enjoyable and one of the best we've ever had. Before we met Denise we'd been working with another realtor, and they either didn't listen to our needs or did not know what was needed for a horse farm. When we started working with Denise it was so enjoyable because she took time to understand our wants and needs, plus she knows her stuff when it comes to looking for horse farms.(soils, fencing, etc.) She found us what we needed and we are so happy and satisfied with our small horse farm. It fits us perfectly.
If we were ever to sell and look for another farm or just another home Denise is who we would go through again. She's not only a very good realtor who knows her stuff but she's a great friend.
